Empowering your New Story!
Open Book Counseling works with individuals, couples, and families, from children and teens through adults, including people in high-stress or high-visibility roles who want discreet, non-shame-based care.
Every story has hard chapters. You don't have to read them alone, and you get to help write what comes next.

Chapter I
The Guide-Finding Ritual
Every traveler deserves a trusted guide. Answer the Lantern's five questions, one page at a time. It ranks every guide in the hall and shows its reasons. There's no hidden magic.
Your answers never leave this browser. Research shows the bond with your therapist matters most, so treat this as a starting point.
How the Lantern scores (fully transparent)
- Each concern you choose that a guide lists: +3
- Age group listed: +2 (not publicly listed: +1, confirm)
- Format listed: +2 (not listed: +1, confirm)
- Each preferred approach they use: +1
- In person or telehealth (if you choose one): offered +2. Amanda Lloyd is telehealth only.
- Office (if you choose one): sees clients in person there +2. Draper: all except Amanda; Bountiful: Scott, Amber, Abby.
- Fit % = points ÷ maximum possible for your answers. Every guide is always shown.
Chapter II
The Hall of Guides
Six guides keep the lamps lit here. Each one brings different training, strengths and ways of walking beside you. Filter by what matters to you.
Admin manager: Makayla Jones. Each guide's seal shows their initials. [PLACEHOLDER: real photos, if desired]
Chapter III
The Spellbook of Approaches
These aren't spells. They're real, evidence-based therapies, explained in plain words. We offer individual, couples, family, child and teen, and group therapy, in person and online.

Chapter IV
The Charm Library
Each charm here is a real DBT or CBT coping skill with an original name. The real name appears in brackets. Turn a card over to open it, then step through it at your own pace.
A Side Quest
Conquering Anxiety & Depression
A tiny retro story RPG. Wake in a fog-covered town, cross the Gray Fog Marsh and the Storm Wind Cliffs, and clear symptom clouds with real coping skills. Symptoms are the weather, never you. Any Open Book clinician can be called as your guide.
Explore a pixel map, battle symptom clouds turn by turn, face the Fogstorm on the old threshold in four phases, and find a calm office waiting at the end of the road. Arrow keys, WASD or the on-screen pad. Progress stays in this browser.
This is an educational game, not therapy, diagnosis, or a substitute for care. In crisis, call or text 988; in Utah, SafeUT; in an emergency, 911. Find a guide for the real journey.
Chapter V
The Treasury
Insurance, EAP benefits and fees are written down plainly here. There are no riddles.
